Elliot is the younger child of King [[Joster]] and Queen [[Minerva]] of [[Laurent]], and therefore is also Riesz's younger brother. He has been his sister's charge since Minerva died shortly after his birth. Still a child of no more than 10, Elliot is rather mischievous and is known to slack off and play pranks on Riesz, especially as she tries to educate him in royal decorum.

On one particular day when [[Mana (element)|mana]] is at its weakest, Elliot fancies a game of hide and seek, much to his sister's consternation. And so, Riesz desperately searches for him. When she does find him, she hands him the key to the Citadel's wind generator. She then reminds him to handle it with utmost care. But as Riesz leaves to take care of other businesss, two ninja from the neighboring region of [[Nevarl]], [[Bil and Ben]], materialize as part of their plot to invade Laurent. They spot Elliot, then trick the boy into returning to the wind generator and turning it off.  Soon, with the winds around the Citadel dampened, Nevarl moves to seize Laurent, and Elliot is captured.

Somehow, the boy ended up as an indentured servant at [[Beiser's Night Market]] and was purchased back from a local trader by the same Nevarlan faction.

As the main characters finally gathered all [[Mana spirit|Mana spirits]] and combined their powers to [[Oblivisle]], the sudden release of all eight Mana Stones' energy opens a portal to the Sanctuary. Belladonna and Malocchio gathers a batallion on a carrier and head for the holyland. As the three evil factions of the world collide, Belladonna, under the rule of His Dark Majesty, finds herself warring for the control of the Sword of Mana. What follows next depends on who is the main character of the story:

* If [[Duran]] or [[Angela]] is the main character of the story, then the Dragon Lord's faction destroys the remains of His Dark Majesty, making his revival impossible. Heartbroken, Belladonna kills Malocchio and then is hinted to commit suicide before releasing Elliot back to the citadel.
* If [[Kevin]] or [[Charlotte]] is the main character of the story, then the Masked Mage's faction destroys the remains of His Dark Majesty, making his revival impossible. Heartbroken, Belladonna kills Malocchio and then is hinted to commit suicide before releasing Elliot back to the citadel.
* If Hawkeye or Riesz is the main character of the story, the Prince of Mavolia's faction kills the Dragon Lord and the Masked Mage, disbanding their respective factions.

If Riesz or [[Hawkeye]] is the Chosen, the party manages to get to the [[Dark Castle]] where the [[Prince of Mavolia]] resides. At the top of the highest balcony they see an unconscious Elliot lying next to His Dark Majesty, who reveals needing the young prince's body as a new vessel once his old one will fail to contain the Mana surge of energy once he absorbs the fabled [[Mana Sword]] and conquer the universe by fusing [[Mavolia]] with the world of [[Fa'Diel]]. He is stopped by the [[Mana Goddess]] and decides to go to the [[Sanctuary of Mana (Trials of Mana)|Sanctuary]] to slay her. The party follows him to the holyland and defeat him, bringing peace back to Fa'Diel.

During Riesz's epilogue, Elliot is back in Laurent, telling Riesz he's had a dream of his mother and father looking so happy. They also told the young prince to return to the citadel and bring prosperity to the kingdom. Another scene depicts Riesz praying to her parents, vowing to work together with Elliot to bring Laurent back to what is was before. A last one shows Riesz and Elliot meeting with [[Flammie (Trials of Mana)|Flammie]].
