| Upon returning to his/her house, the protagonist discovers that Li'l Cactus is gone. Moving downstairs, Lisa panics as she realizes her broom is missing. As their dad's memento, the twin sorcerers as visibly distraught by the idea, but their dismay is interrupted by Li'l Cactus coming from the entrance and scurrying back to his pot upstairs. The main character discovers by talking to the plant that he threw the broom in the junkyard. Lisa overhears their conversation and runs off to the toy cemetery. Bud alerts the hero and the duo joins forces in order to catch up with her. Inquiring on Lisa to the jack-in-the-box leads the group to search for a thorny thing keeping a broom deep into the junkyard. They finally reunite with Lisa, who has found her coveted item, but the party is ambushed by a mysterious force who harms the little witch. Lisa tells her brother that the junk around here hates humans and to be careful, as she doesn't think she can run. Undeterred, Bud recalls to his sister that he is the son of a mighty magician as he tries to lift up the broom, breaking it on closer inspection. He sister replies that their father was a Magic Academy dropout and was so useless, the only place that accepted him was Domina. Bud tries to cheer her sibling up by saying his father's motto: ''He who fights and runs away lives to see the light of day''. Bud says he'd rather live as a coward thant die as a hero. A tremor occurs moments after, pushing Bud to get her sister to safety. The protagonist and him engage in combat with a Gremlin. Back at home, Bud promises her sister that he'll repair the broom.
