| The protagonist vists the Underworld and is tested by touching the Macabre Tombstone. He is then teleported to the Underworld's first level where he meets Larc, a dragoon warrior of Drakonis. He explains that he brought the main character to the Underworld because he saw him fit to be a powerful warrior. He joins the team and they together proceed to get deep into the infernal cavern. After venturing for a while, Larc suggests they should see Olbohn, master of the Underworld and one of the Seven Wisdoms as he only can grant access to certain places here. Arriving at Olbohn's Office, the Wisdom berates Larc for bringing him uninvited guests who are destined to become Shadoles. The Dragoon soldier replies that he only observing the orders of his master Drakonis. After some discussion, Olbohn grants the hero the Baptism of Flame, telling the duo that a Shadole would guide them to the Baptismal Chamber. After getting the baptism, the main character can officially venture to the bottom levels of the Underworld. Upon entering the lowest room, Larc confides in the hero that a test awaits him/her to see if he/she is worthy of serving his master. The protagonist defeats Hitodama, which impresses Larc, who is eager to report the good news to his master Drakonis. Back at the first level, the Dragoon summons his master who grants the hero a new mission; Lord Drakonis wants the main character to retrieve the magical powers that were stolen from him by three dragons, as an act of revenge. Long ago, before he was sent to the underworld, Drakonis was called the Emperor of Dragons. However, three of his jealous siblings took his powers, leaving the Dragon Lord wandering the Underworld in a weakened form even since. After accepting the request, the hero and Larc are teleported back to the Macabre Tombstone and the Dragoon warrior let him/her have the Skull Lantern Artifact as proof of contact.
