While visiting the Temple of Healing in Gato Grottoes, the hero meets with a cat warrior named Daena who ask if he/she knows someone named Escad, as he is an old friend of Matilda, the priestess of Gato. She adds that he's finalled came back to see her and that she'll let you pass through the Dreamweaving Room. Inside, a lying Matilda is watched over by Escad, who proceed to tell her that it's been only ten years since he went to the Underworld. The young knight is surprised to see her aged to a old lady. The martriarch comments that it's been ten yeats since she saw her two friends, him and Irwin. Escad replies that Irwin took away her elemental powers to fuel his own ambitions, making him probably the source of her great age. As the protagonist enters the room, an irritated Escad orders the eavesdropper to get out, but Daena storms in, asking him if he's has plenty of alone time with the old priestess and he should also depart. The bitter man explains that he's learned the way of the sword from Olbohn, the Wisdom of the Underworld, and it's his will that he'd kill Irwin. Matilda tries to appease her friend, but Escasd leaves with a warning to not trust that demon. Daena explains to the protagonist that Irwin, Daena, Matilda, and her grew up together. Matilda was born to a family of Priests, while Escad was born into a family of knights. Daena's family has long served as protectors of the Temple of Healing, while all they knew about Irwin was that he as demon blood in him. Matilda treated both Escad and Irwin exactly the same, which Escad resented. He tried killing Irwin in the Ulkan Mines, but ended up falling into the Underworld instead of Irwin.
As the main character leaves the Dreamweaving Room, a suspicious nun enters it, prompting him/her to head back in. The nun attacks Daena, stating that their lord commands it, all the while casting a teleportation spell, bringing Matilda with her. The hero joins hands with Daena to rescue the Wisdom of Gato. The cat lady orders a nearby nun to close off all the temple's exits. In front of the building, Escad is seen questioning the abductor, asking her is she works for Irwin. The nun answers that she only does what Lord Irwin bids and vanishes along with Matilda using the same spell again, while Escad chases after them. Daena decides to go search in the caves, reuniting with Escad who claims that he has lost them. The cat warrior suggests exploring a sealed Meditation room deep inside the Dungeons. Inside, the nun gloats about them falling right inside her trap. Two faithful nuns erupts into the scene to carry Matilda back to safety. The suspicious nun transforms into Spriggan and the battle starts. After defeating the evil genie, the party heads back to the Dreamweaving Room where Matilda lies once again. Matilda explains Escad that she never wanted to give up her freedom to become a priestess, but Irwin wanted to free her from a life bound by rules. This angers Irwin, who replies that she's a fool for believing Irwin's lies and that she never took him seriously even when they were children. He then proceed to storm off the room, stating that he won't stand idly while that Demon grows stronger. The hero gets some Valsena Iron as a reward.
