Alma is a member of the Amazon guards of the Wind Kingdom of [[Laurent]]. Her skills, strength, and power in combat are only surpassed by her loyalty to the royal family. Like Joster, she is a good friend of [[Qucas]].

Alma makes her first appearance in chapter 5, ''Dragon Wings of Reunion'', where she meets [[Roget]] and his crew in Laurent's throne room warning [[Galura]] about [[Pedda]]'s ambition to overtake other nations. She shares at first her leader's opinion to not take arms hastily as this would aggravate already existing tensions between [[Nevarl]] and Laurent. However, she quickly comes to her senses after the Wind Kingdom's invasion by Peddan and Nevarlan forces. As she witnesses Galura's demise and Minerva's surrending to Olex, she decides to join Roget's team.

Alma is also present during the final confrontation against the [[Goddess of Doom]] in the [[Sea of Chaos]], but ultimately decides to stay in [[Fa'Diel]] along with [[Belgar]], [[Falcon]], [[Gauser]], [[Loki]], and [[Valda]] and watches as Roget, [[Yurchael]], [[Gemière]], [[Qucas]], and [[D'Kelli]] board the [[Nightswan]] to explore the different worlds scattered in the fabric of realms. It is assumed that Belgar is one of the handful of people in Fa'Diel aware of the events that took place during the game, since her soul was not absorbed by [[Anise's mirror]]. She ultimately returned to Laurent to help with the rebuilding and serve the royal family.

Now many years removed from her fighting days, Alma presumably remained close to both Joster and Minerva and thus was employed as a chambermaid in Citadel Laurent, where she remains in the present day. She was a nanny to their two children, [[Riesz]] and [[Elliot]], until shortly after Minerva's passing. However, per additional backstory in the 2020 remake, her position afforded her access to the royal family's many myths and legends. So, when Riesz must look for the [[Kind Sphere]] needed for her to reach [[Class 4]], Alma explains that the royal family once had a rite of passage to obtain the Sphere, and that it took place on the [[Heavensway]]. Riesz then makes her way to the southern summit, where she and her party must battle a swarm of bee-ladies to claim her birthright.

Her personality mellows down in ''Trials of Mana'', where her scenes are mostly there for Riesz's story exposition. She is seen as caring and dutiful toward the royal family, especially to the prince and princess.
