| When first introduced in ''[[Final Fantasy Adventure]]'', Cobras where smiply depicted as yellow skinned snakes with red underside. As they reappeared in ''[[Legend of Mana]]'' their design was changed to a green or reddish serpent with long flowy eyebrows and a rattle at the end of their tail. The green variant stuck ever since and even ''[[Adventures of Mana]]'', FFA's remake, incorporated some of its designs in it depiction. Like real venomous snakes, Cobras and Boas from the ''Mana'' franchise usually attack by biting their enemies or by inflicting the [[Poison (status)|poison]] status effect.
