Sister to [[Simone]] and thus aunt to [[Duran]] and his sister [[Wendy]], Stella became a homemaker in Simone's place when the latter fell under an unknown illness as Duran's father [[Loki]] and the [[Hero King]] set off to vanquish the [[Dragon Lord]]. Unfortunately for the family, messengers including the Hero King arrived with news that the expedition party had disappeared. Stressed by these revelations, Simone took a turn for the worse, but conferred her role as the siblings' guardian onto Stella before she passed. When Duran came of age to be a soldier, Stella passed a bronze sword once held by Loki to him. After saying his goodbyes to family and kingdom, Duran set off on a quest to defeat the [[Crimson Wizard]] that almost slew him.
