Eagle was born in Nevarl Fortress along with his sister Jessica from Flamekhan's second wife whose identity is unknown. He was raised with Hawkeye and the two grew to be best friends. After rescuing Lord Flamekhan in the desert, the stranger named Isabella rapidly gained influence with the head of state. In fact, the alluring woman was a demoness in disguised tasked to revive the Prince of Mavolia and was hoping to release the Mana Stones's energy to do so. She manipulated His Lordship to invade the Wind Kingdom of Laurent, spreading doubt and suspicion in Hawkeye and Eagle's minds. After returning from a night raid in a nearby town, Isabella declares to Hawkeye that the noble thief guild is disbanded and was revamped as a kingdom, making Flamekhan a king. The young thief shares his concerns with Eagle who agrees that something is amiss about this devious lady's influence on his father.

Hawkeye and Eagle decide to eavesdrop on Isabella and Flamekhan and surprise the seductress talking to an eerie-looking man while the new king is asleep. The two friends confront the lady, but she uses her mind-controlling powers to turn Eagle against his friend, forcing them to fight each other and leading Hawkeye to unwillingly kill his friend. Belladonna then framed the young thief for murder and put him in jail. During his stay in his cell, the devious sorceress put a Choker of Death on Jessica, daughter of Flamekhan and Hawkeye's love interest and tell the prisoner not to tell what happened to her lest she dies. Jessica visits Hawkeye later in his cell, pleading him to tell her the truth about the murder. She runs in tears after not being answered.
During post-game Chapter 7 exclusive to the HD remake, the Nevarl Fortress has been robbed of all they money reserves while Hawkeye is searching for the elusive Loyal Sphere to gain access to Class 4. Jessica tells him she suspects her late brother hiding the stash away once he saw something amiss with Flamekhan's behavior. She adds that Eagle asked her to tell Hawkeye to search in the Fiery Gorge. The party goes there, and finds the treasure hidden behind a wall. There, they find a holographic message of Eagle telling Hawkeye to convince Jessica not to plunder like the thief's guild used to do and find righteous ways to make a living.
