Announced during the series' 30th Anniversary streaming event in June 2021, the title was a gacha-centered MMO battle RPG featuring characters and settings from all current worlds in the ''Mana'' universe. It was released on both [[Android]] and [[iOS]] as of April 27, 2022 (UTC).

Though ''Echoes'' was well-received among fans of ''Mana'' and earned praise for its storytelling and artwork, developers eventually struggled to maintain acceptable quality of service, and on February 13, 2023, notice was given that the game would be discontinued as of May 15, 2023 (UTC).

The player character awakens in the [[Sanctuary of Mana]] upon being summoned by the [[Mana Goddess]]. The once-hallowed ground is now virtually devoid of all life and memory; and yet again, the [[Mana Sword]] is nowhere to be seen. The lack of mana power means that the Goddess can only maintain her avatar in short bursts, and so she must send our hero to restore the world and retrieve the fabled blade from Echoes—memories of this and other worlds borne of the fruits of the Mana Tree. To complete this monumental task, the Goddess also sends the winged ram familiar [[Baashear]] as the hero's guide and companion. 

The pair picks the ripening Beginniberry from the tree and is teleported to the hamlet of [[Pinzton]], where they are met by a throng of [[Knitwit|strange creatures]] before help arrives in the form of a perky lance knight and a down-to-earth mage, both in training. Together, these four will team up with other heroes of worlds past and present in their search for the Mana Sword.

As our hero begins their search for the legendary Mana Sword, they are teleported to an echo of their home, [[Pinzton]], and are immediately ambushed by gangs of odd-looking goblins called [[Knitwit]]s. Help soon arrives when Duffle and Honeycomb join in on the battle. The trio works diligently to liberate the village and is successful, though they are soon waylaid by a mysterious black figure whose sole mission is to stymie the hero and prevent them from obtaining the holy blade.

====Chapter 2: [[Verdigourd: The Mana Sword Song]]====
Still debating the mystery of the man in the black armor, our hero is pulled back to the Sanctuary to pick another fruit and continue the search for the Sword. This time, they land near [[Potos Falls]], where they meet up with a trio of adventurers on the cusp of destiny. Here, too, unusual monster activity has thrown a wrench in history, leaving the sprite [[Popoi]] to search for their companions. Though the highborn elf [[Primm]] is quickly found and joins them to beat back the fiends, the reluctant swordsman [[Randi]] proves far more elusive. Still, they find him on the verge of taking up his Mana Sword. It is not the Sword our heroes seek, and so they move on.

====Chapter 3: [[Epicorn: Legend on the Lake]]====
Returning to the Sanctuary again at a loss, our heroes soon find a new nut blossoming on the Mana Tree. They find themselves back in their home world, where the two young warriors from Pinzton greet them standing on the edge of a lake. They agree to investigate the odd ruins at the center of the lake, for there are countless rumors of a sword entombed within. To reach the ruins, they need a boat--and one shady green sales-kitty thinks he has just the thing. As if on cue, a lupine bowyer has sniffed out his scam and scares him off. The boat is weathered, yet remains serviceable enough for our heroes to go adventuring. Within the ruins, a young arachnoid outlaw defends her territory against all invaders, though her poison sting is no match for our heroes' increasing might. Humbled, she joins their band. Out of concern for their safety, the bowyer, [[Blainchet]], also joins. The troupe soon encounters a fiery phantasm clad in armor, which they vanquish after a hard fight. Finding no sword, our heroes must once more part ways.

Their next mission takes them into the bowels of [[Mavolia]], where the wolfkin warrior [[Blainchet]] was thrown during Dema's emergence. Desperate to find kinship with his own kind, Blainchet is thrust into a deadly spat between [[Larc]] and [[Sierra]]. As he reflects on his past, can Blainchet find solace in his former allies before death claims him?

====Chapter 4: [[Pricklemelon: Darkness Before Dawn]]====
After the misadventure in the netherworld, our heroes report back to Goddess [[Nona]] having picked up [[Salamando]] and [[Undine]] while sparring with [[Gossamare]]. Still with more questions than answers regarding the element-eating abomination amidst [[Dema]]'s hideous master plan, they are sent off to an oddly dark [[Ice Country]], where the [[Scorpion Army]] has found a new chief. Our heroes must locate the origins of the region's bizarre atmosphere as they once again must halt Dema's advance. But will a certain sharp-tongued outlaw go her own way, or can she be convinced to once more join the side of good?

Having recovered [[Raxa]] and [[Shade]], our band of heroes returns from the [[Ice Country]] all the stronger, but grows frustrated by the lack of information regarding the dueling sister goddesses and their motives as they continue to search out a way to thwart [[Dema]] and her minions. A reluctant [[Nona]] offers another glimpse into the pair's troubled past, where the hero finally learns of their true origins and purpose. Can they defy destiny and recover the final [[Mana Spirits]], or will [[Gossamare]] finally get his revenge?

The [[Mana Goddess]] sends our hero forth with a spirit named [[Baashear]] as their guide and companion, and together the pair will recruit other allies to aid them on their quest.

===How to battle===
Battles in the main story are fought in real time as groups of missions divided into fixed waves, wherein players will be graded on their performance in order to collect in-game rewards such as currency and raw materials. Each mission is to be completed as efficiently as possible. Players are given exactly five minutes to complete any mission. Both foes and allies can move and attack in any direction on a given field, and can deploy various [[Special Technique]]s (ST) and summon [[Mega Spirit Magic]] when the required conditions are met.

There are hints that the initial Mana goddess of the first season is not what she appears to be.

* At the very beginning of chapter 4, Baashear tells the Mana Goddess he's working really hard to fulfill his task. She replies: "Yes, I know very well that you are." This hints at her ability to spy into every echo the Harvester has been investigating so far.
* At the end of the second battle with the Ebon Knight, the one taking place atop Flammie in the sky (Chapter 4), the black knight declares the Harvester shall not get the Mana Sword. He then add: "I know you're out there, listening... I...will..stop you..." before flying off.
* At the very beginning of Chapter 6, the Harvester finds themselve in a blue void, with the Mana Goddess's voice echoing, saying she will 'get it all back. [Her] world... [her] sister... No matter what it takes...
* The hairdo the two dolls Dema & Nona are playing with have bears a strong resemblance to those of the male & female main characters. This might be a slight hint that the harvesters are being manipulated.
* Child Dema seems to be adamant about following the story the twins are making up and seems to be patronizing her sister Nona. He actions in the future seem to reflect this controlling attitude.
* After this cutscene, the little girl Dema speaks with the Havester inside the dollhouse right after her twin sister bolts, telling them this feels like not the first time she's asked them for help.
* During the ''Dawn of Mana'' segments, the heroes can hear an otherworldy voice saying phrases such as "Why did you leave me?", "Why you, and not me?" and "Give it back! It's MY destiny, not yours...". This foreshadows adult Nona becomming the next Mana Goddess instead of her sister, as seen in a flashback in season 2, chapter 6.
* When the protagonist reaches Nona at the end of the chapter, she tells them about the ritual taking place inside the Mana clan when a Mana Tree dies and how her sister Dema was chosen to be the next one. Nona feels like her sister is overprotecting her and carries all the burden.
* During chapter 7, Sumo & Baashear meet with Julius disguised as Sumo and decide to tag along. During their search for the Mana Tree, both adventurers see a visions of the Mana Goddess coming through Julius. Near the end of the chapter after being unmasked and defeated by the party, Julius asks the Harvester why they are siding with Sumo as they share the same ambitions. Baashear retorts they a nothing alike, but the evil sorcerer replies this fact isn't true if they work for the Mana Goddess.
* At the beginning of chapter 8, Mousseline appears before a distressed protagonist, tellin them she will help them should they abandon their mission to find the Mana Sword. The hero refuses, which prompts the faerie to warn him not to come crying to her when all this blow up to their face.

The protagonist originally being gifted half of the same soul as their twin & slowly becoming their whole person is hinted at times.

* At the end of chapter 6 of season 1, the protagonist reunites with the young girl Nona, who tells them even though her and her sister Dema may be two halves of the same heart, they are still different. She then pleas the Harvester never to forgive that fact for them too. The next things they see after being warped is their clone inside the Sanctuary of Mana.
* Right after waking from their vision from chapter 6, the Harvester asks their doppelganger who they are. The twin replies they are them, which puzzles the protagonist even more.
