| Elliot is first seen exploring [[Potos Falls]] by crossing a log along with [[Randi]] and [[Timothy]]. He warns Randi about causing a ruckus which would alert the [[Potos Elder|Elder]]. Timothy adds that they aren't supposed to be here since there is a ghost around, to which Elliot scoffs at the idea. He adds that he heard grandma speaking about something shiny near the falls. Randi suddenly slips and falls down the log, all the while his two friends run back to the village.

| The trio reunites in [[Potos Village]] near the Elder's residence. Elliot comments on Randi's disappearance by thinking he was dead while Timothy quips on how stupid Elliot was to bring him along. The Elder scolds the two boys by reminding them not to go into these woods, but is even more surprised to see that Randi's brought the legendary [[Mana Sword|sword]] to the village. Elliot and Timothy are excited about the boy finding the treasure, but the Elder reprimands them by telling that this weapon is the Mana Sword, a fated weapon foretold to bring doom to their community. Elliot realizes that is why monsters have been flocking near the village even since the sword has been pulled and starts confronting Randi about it. He calls Randi and outsider and proceeds to hit him repeatedly, making the hero back off with every strike. An earthquake breaks their quarrel and opens a gap below them, sending them both right to a [[Mantis Ant]] nest. A frightened Elliot cowers in a corner while Randi, assisted by a mysterious man visiting the village, defeats the monster. Humiliated, the bully storms off the premises never to be encountered again.
