| In ''Final Fantasy Adventure'', Dendens were depicted as blue snails with conical shells on their back. They solidified their design in subsequent releases by making their shell a spiral alternating with blue and yellow spots and by adding fin-like wings on either sides. The Denden was merely crawling in its first installment, but quickly gained the ability to hover afterward.
