Mad Mallards are generally depicted as humanoid ducks white feathers, with more recent installments making their wings with yellow and purple tips. They typically wear an oversized green army helmet, which often obscure most of their face, and use a black ball flail as a weapon. They also sport matching army gear at the front with large tan boots. They are notable for lugging explosives at their target, but were also shown to attack with flails, knives, & darts.

In earlier depictions, Mad Mallards' plumage were entirely white and they lacked the army boots, leaving their webbed feet bare.

===Attributes===
In their first appearance in ''Final Fantasy Adventure'', Mad Mallards were spotted in various biomes, such as tundra, volcano, and ruins. In subsequent releases, however, they acclimated almost exclusively to hotter environments like deserts and lava filled caves.

They have generally been associated with [[Salamander]] since then, and therefore often have a weakness to water magic attacks.

The only stronger variant available in most games for the Mad Mallard is called [[Captain Duck|Captain Duck]].

Other than that, they are among the weakest enemy of this area and can be easily defeated.

Their hostile variant uses the Captain Duck hues instead of the normal green and white one.
