Angela is one of the six main protagonists of Trials of Mana and its 2020 remake.

Angela is the princess of the snowbound realm of Altena, located in the far northern region of the world. She is the only daughter of the woman known as the True Queen and an unnamed father (heavily implied to be the Hero King of Valsena). A rebel in her younger days due to a lack of support from her mother, Angela studies under court tutor José in an effort to acquire control over magic that she lacks. Her efforts thus far have borne no fruit, and so Angela often skips lessons out of frustration. Angela has no shortage of good looks from her mother, and has drawn the admiration of many within her kingdom.

With the springlike climate in Altena giving way to its natural winter, the True Queen now seeks more mana power to maintain the enchantment on her realm. Her advisor, a man known only as the Crimson Wizard, mobilizes the Queen's mage army to pursue the eight Mana Stones and open the way to the holy Sanctuary of Mana, in order to take up the Mana Sword. Angela is to become the ritual sacrifice to unlock the Stones as Altena plans to begin its campaign in Valsena to the south. Fate, it seems, has other plans; and so Angela is mysteriously teleported beyond her castle's gates. Now, she must find a way to repair her strained relationship with her mother as she works tirelessly to gain command of her magic.

Since her debut, Angela has made numerous appearances throughout the Mana universe and beyond.
