The World of Mana was a campaign and compilation of works within the Mana series. Active between circa 2003 and 2007, series creator Koichi Ishii and others created it in hopes of "reviving" awareness around the series, which was believed to have gone dormant at the time. It was also a means of experimentation, by which the series was to be taken in new directions in terms of overall style and gameplay.
