Armored is a recurring status boon in the Mana series.
Effect[edit]
Often limited to bosses and certain high-level baddies, the benefactor is protected by a largely invisible barrier, significantly reducing the impact of attacks directed at them. Though limited in strength, it can be shattered instantly with a Charge Attack.
History[edit]
Trials of Mana HD[edit]
Most enemies of level 10 or greater will develop a translucent blue ward against weak attacks and some spells. Successful strikes against an armored foe will gradually change the color from blue to red, then shatter the ward.
Echoes of Mana[edit]
Armored status is indicated by the presence of a green escutcheon alongside or above HP/MP gauges, triggered by various moves including the Super Armor skill featured on Sword units. It typically lasts 1 minute per use of an applicable skill.
