Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is a free-to-play mobile game developed by Alim (Brave Frontier) using assets licensed from Square Enix. Built on an identical engine to Brave Frontier, Brave Exvius follows multiple generations of warriors in their quest to uncover the myriad mysteries of their home world, called Lapis, and to restore peace and order to the many nations that call Lapis home. The story begins as Rain and Lasswell, two young knights of the Kingdom of Grandshelt, discover a young woman named Fina trapped in a crystal with no memory of who she is or her purpose in the world. Brave Exvius launched in Japan during the latter half of 2015 and advanced to the Global market in the summer of 2016. The Global client was managed by Alim's Singapore operations unit, gumi. It ultimately ran for a combined nine years worldwide before shuttering the Global version due to declining player support at the end of October 2024. Service to Japan continues as of present day.
The game received a prequel titled War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a tactical RPG that also ran for five years before pulling out of the Global market due to declining support.
