The Virtual Console was a software distribution platform from Nintendo. Released with the Wii in 2006 as a department of the Wii Shop Channel, the virtual storefront was later extended to the company's other seventh- and eighth-generation platforms, including the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U, via the Nintendo eShop family of digital stores. It allowed players to purchase and download from a library of pre-packaged ports of games from earlier eras and hardware. Since 2019, the service has been discontinued for the Wii and deprecated on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, having been supplanted on the Nintendo Switch by its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service in 2017. Nintendo expects to fully decommission Virtual Console when the company closes the 3DS and Wii U infrastructures in late March 2023.

Of more than 600 titles across the three catalogues offered, only Secret of Mana represented the Mana series on the service, and was last available only for the Wii U.
