In keeping his word to Hasim, uttered in his last breath,
Sumo and Fuji go in search of a man called Bogard.
Soon, they come upon an elderly man in a cottage by the
waterfall.
'Pardon me, sir, but I seek a man named Bogard. Might
you know ehere I can find him?
'I might. I might not. Doesn't mean I'm talking. I've
nothing to say to the likes of you! Begone!

The blurb describes Sumo and Fuji's first encounter with Bogard in Adventures of Mana. The Old Gemma Knight is at first reluctant to help the travelers, but eventually changes his mind upon seeing the pendant the Tree Maiden is wearing. He then gives the boy a Mattock to help him out on his journey to Wendel.
