Evolution material

From the Wiki of Mana, the Mana encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to search

Evolution Material (進化素材) are a group of items part of an important game mechanic in Rise of Mana. Players could fuse them with weapons or magic pets at the workshop in Miste Town to rank them up and turn them into stronger weapons.

Overview[edit]

Weapon evolution material[edit]

Most evolution material would fall into a specific category and were paired with one of the five weapon types which were one-handed swords spears, bows, knuckles and great swords. Each group were further divided into one of four attributes: fire, water, wind, and earth. Finally, the last subdivision was comprised of two tiers of evolution material sharing the same weapon and attribute, one for evolving lower rank weapons and another for higher ones. Below is a comprehensive table showing the basic matches for each material.

Material Matching weapon

Stick
Jap: 棒

One-handed Sword
Jap: 片手剣

Pole
Jap: 棹

Spears
Jap: 槍

Bow
Jap: 木弓

Bows
Jap: 弓

Gloves
Jap: 手袋

Knuckles
Jap: ナックル

Jap: 木刀

Great swords

The kind and amount of evolution material would differ depending on the weapon's ranking. For example, a weapon of the N (normal) rank would require only one of its matching material to go up a rank. Here is a table illustrating each situation.

Magic pet evolution material[edit]

Magic pet could also be ranked up with evolution material. However, said material would only be distinguished by attribute, making for far less variety. The evolution method would follow the same logic as for the weapon evolution material, with two or three tiers each specializing in boosting specific ranks.

Aquisition[edit]

The easiest way to obtain evolution material would be to participate in training quests. Each quest would be held in a recurring day of the week and existed in four or five different varieties matching each weapon types in addition to a sixth one for colecting magic pet evolution material or lucre.
