Theatrhythm is a long-running series of musical action games from Square Enix and partner developer indies zero Co., Ltd. Described by Square Enix as "theatre rhythm action", players fight series of battles against famous foes while timing attacks to the rhythm and melody of selected game tracks from Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, SaGa Mana, and many more.
The series' first two titles in 2012 were focused only on the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest brands, and were released for the Nintendo 3DS system. A sequel to the Final Fantasy edition, subtitled Curtain Call, was released in 2014 and was the first to incorporate music from other series.
