Mushbooms are a species of basic enemies in the Mana games. They first appear in Final Fantasy Adventure. Mushbooms are living mushrooms who have a pink cap with a few large, red hearts on them.
History
Final Fantasy Adventure
In Final Fantasy Adventure, Mushbooms are one of the weakest enemies, along with Rabites. They are only encountered at areas near Topple. Their only action is to walk around aimlessly.
Secret of Mana
In Secret of Mana, Mushbooms are encountered at the surrounding areas of Potos and Pandora and later at Gaia's Navel. Mushbooms are stronger than in Final Fantasy Adventure, and can perform a few attacks, which includes kicking, spinning on their cap, and opening up their back to release spores, which can inflict Sleep on their target. Mushrooms are a part of the Tree Group.[1]
There is a town named Matango that is solely inhabited by friendly Mushbooms, all of whom have differently colored mushroom caps than the enemies themselves. Their area is ruled over by King Truffle.
