Mattocks, spelled Mattok in the original release, are single-use items that appear in Final Fantasy Adventure and its remake, Adventures of Mana. They do not appear in Sword of Mana.

When Sumo acquires the Morning Star, Mattocks become redundant, because the Morning Star does not break after destroying an obstacle.
