Val is the main protagonist of Visions of Mana. He was appointed as the soul guard of Hinna once she was chosen to travel to the Mana Tree. He is depicted as a curious young man with a positive outlook on life. When the Alm of Fire has been chosen, that also becomes his opportunity to travel to regions around the world. He is proud to have been chosen as the Soul Guard, as well as a representative of his village.
