Palamena is one of the five playable heroes in Visions of Mana.

Background[edit]

“Palamena is the young Queen of Illystana, Capital of the Deep. Since the death of her father, she succeeded the throne. Since then, Palamena has been navigating her way through Illystana's societal expectations and turbulent politics while also caring for Iain, her young brother.”
Official website

Palamena is the newest queen of Illystana, an inter-coastal nation-state of the Manadore Continent dominated by humanoids with rodent-like traits, including tails of varied colors and styles. Her people have long worshipped the Water Elemental Undine; and until Palamena took the throne, Illystana experienced a long period of class warfare and internal struggle. To date, Palamena has been a firm, kind, and just ruler, albeit one with a rebellious streak about her at times. Still, her court of magistrates is not completely confident in her ability to rule, as one in particular, the devious Passar, eagerly awaits his chance at power should Palamena err or leave the throne. Though she carries herself with all the grace and dignity of her station, she is still an older sister with many a worry for her younger brother, Iain, who is next in line to the throne when he comes of age.
