As is her sacred duty, she is to perform a ritual to summon the Faerie, who will select the Alm of Wind to be sacrificed to the Mana Tree and thereby to protect the vale from harm. When she was younger, a mishap near the Sanctum of Wind resulted in the amputation of one of her wings. Ramcoh, a young dragoness, saved Careena; and since that day, the two have shared a sisterly bond.
