Story[edit]

With Lester having cleared the toxic gas from the Palmy Desert, Sumo and the chocobo sprint toward Crooked Boulder after Davias's monster pet Garuda. However, the bird must stay behind as Sumo sets off to explore a cavernous conduit between the foot of the mountain and the cliffs near the summit. A Metal Crab lies in wait from a pit near the exit, but is felled in short order, allowing Sumo to press onward.
