This article is about Garuda from Final Fantasy Adventures & Adventures of Mana. For the general species, see Garuda.

The Garuda is a boss in Final Fantasy Adventure and its direct remake Adventures of Mana.

Overview[edit]

As Sumo and Marcy finish climbing the fabled Dime Tower, a giant bird of prey comes flying toward them, taunting them menacingly. With the help of his robotic friend, the pair manages to slay the eagle. However, the tower begins to rumble as it starts to burrow down into the Crystal Desert once again. Marcy then pushes the hero to safety, but must remain inside the tower as its master the Professor instructed.

In the original Game Boy installment, the Garuda follows a ∞ pattern, only stopping in the upper screen corners to send feathers at its opponents.

In Adventures of Mana, the Garuda rams at the party with its talons. It can also fly away at the distance, then unexpectedly zoom across the arena. Finally, it still throws feathers toward the party. After sustaining enough damage, the Garuda will quickly throw several feathers on the ground. Defeating it will reward the player with the Garuda Garotter achievement.
