The Hot House is a location in Sword of Mana' shaped like a giant cactus house that grows out of a vase that appears in some places in the game. Once the protagonist buys the Cactus Essence item from Niccolo during the story, just need to go to the place with the vase and interact with it.

Similar to the Home from Legend of Mana, it's contains an entire bevy of features that the Hero/Heroine is able to utilize at their disposal once unlocked during there adventure. The house can be found in Vinquette Vicinity, Mushboom Forest, Prickly Desert, Glass Desert, Rocky Wilds and Mana Sanctuary. It's divided into three main rooms.

Lobby

It's the entrance to the building that connects the other rooms, the Orchard on the right above the stairs and the Handyman on the left. It's where Li'l Cactus stays with her diary in a corner for almost the entire game except during a sidequest, later on too, after doing another sidequest a Dudbear also stays there.

Orchard

It's the room to the right of the lobby, it's a horticulture room with two floors, where Trent is at the base, and going up the side stairs the protagonist reaches his leaves through wooden platforms where planting is done. After giving him at least two seeds, a product will appear in the part on his leaves to be used in the game once the protagonist leaves the room and re-enters again, but this depends on the day it is made and the type of seed is given.

See each article for detail: Seeds

Handyman

It's the room to the left of the lobby, it's a large room equipped with a furnace and blacksmith equipment. During the beginning of the game, this is empty, but after the events of Abandoned Mine, Watts decides to help the protagonist by moving here, and helping with weapons and armor by tempering them or forging them with the material found during the game. In the case of weapons too, the main character also needs to unlock them by acquiring them during the course of the story.

When Forging, the dwarf creates a different weapon or armor using a different material from the protagonist's inventory, which will depend on the type of weapon or armor that is crafted. The Hot House is the only place where the protagonist can forging things in the game.

And when tempered, the existing weapon or armor is only strengthened with the same material that it's made of, plus the effects of one of the products in the protagonist's inventory, it will depend on the product worked on top of this. Fruits are used exclusively to temper Armor, and Vegetables to temper weapons. The crafted item will have a limit indicated at the end of its stats on the number of times it can be tempered.

Once the work is completed and paid for, the forged weapon or armor may or may not have an bonus effect to use against enemies, may or may not have an affinity element in it, in addition to having its own stats of Power (Pow), Dodge (Dod), Accuracy (Hit), Elemental Power (Ele Pow) and LMT (says the limit of times this can be tempered). While the tempered weapon or armor will increases one or more of this stats, depending on the product used.
