The Mana Sanctuary is a sacred place, according to legend as Cibba says, is where the goddess became the Mana Tree, which sends its power to all the world. Moreover, it is said that whoever touches the tree will have its power, however, consequently the tree will wither and die.

The Mana Pendant is the key to this location, that is given to a guardian among the women of the Mana Clan, the people who has the duty to protect this place.

Cibba also describes the sanctuary as a vast and thick forest born in this world and yet, not in this world. Therefore, it can be considered to lie between dimensions.

Despite this, Vandole was able to reach the shrine one day and with the mana power he was able to build his empire causing an age of darkness until he was defeated, and the mana power was restored. As for the goddess, it is says she was forgotten by the people, except perhaps the Mana clan who worship her.

In the sequence of the story after getting the rusty Mana Sword, the heroes are looking for a way to reach the Mana Sanctuary without the key to stop Julius, the reincarnation of Vandole, who seeks the power of mana once more.

It is revealed that they can reach this sacred place through the Dime Tower, a bridge built by Vandole empire's technology created for this purpose, and that it was also Cibba himself who sealed the tower in the Glass Desert, so he can also unseal and raise the tower back.

After passing through the Dime Tower, the heroes finally arrive at the Sanctuary. At the entrance the Hero and Heroine will join forces once more, going to the end of their journey. At a part of the path, Julius' magic starts to affecting even the mana power of the Sanctuary, so the protagonist decide to hurry.

Deep inside the sanctuary, they find Julius' shadow again, after a quick dialogue, he summons Demagon, the guardian of the sanctuary, soon a battle ensues.

After the battle, the heroes now head to the Mana temple.

Later, having encounter Julius's shadow again in the temple, and all of their allied friends and Lord Granz having been summoned there, the Heroes are transported to a deeper part of the sanctuary accessed at the end of the temple.
