	Fuji	???	Fuji is a member of the Mana Clan destined to become the Mana Tree as proven by the Pendant of Mana she keeps as a heirloom since birth. Her mother helped the Gemma Knights defeating the evil Vandole empire.
	Dark Lord	Glaive Castle	The ruler of Glaive Empire seeking eternal life by touching the Tree of Mana. Meawhile, he captures and ensalves people like Sumo, forcing them to serve as gladiators for his own entertainment.
	Julius	???	This mysterious figure serves as Dark Lord's adviser. He was found as a baby by his Lordship and was taken as his own.
	Bogard	???	Sir Bogard was a Gemma Knight during his youth, defeating the Vandole Empire who wrought havoc and misery to the world. Now, the old man lives as a recluse in his cabin near a waterfall.
	Mysterious Traveler	???	A travelling man who conceals his true identity. He helps Sumo crossing the Cave of Marsh in search of the Moon Mirror.
	Watts	Dwarf Cave	A Dwarf that spends a lot of his type mining Adamant ore in the Old Mine. He's also a savvy merchant always reading for making business.
	Amanda	Menos	Amanda is the sister of Lester and a fellow Glaive Empire salve with Sumo. She is in search of a cure for her brother who has been transformed into a parrot by Jadd's ruler Davias.
	Lester	Menos	This travelling bard is Amanda's brother and has been transformed into a parrot by Jadd's ruler Davias. He help Sumo avenge his sister's death by confronting the evil overlord.
	Chocobo	Near Menos	A special bird breed Sumo found near Menos as an egg. [He] immediately took a liking to the young knight as started following him.
	Marcie	Dime Tower	A robot built by The Professor to hunt for relic in Dime Tower. It was left inside the structure for fifty years until Sumo appeared.
	Will	???	A warrior that was turned into a slave along with Sumo. He dies before finding a way to escape, entrusting his friend to seek Bogard the Gemma Knight.
	Hasim	???	A Gemma Knight that was fatally wounded before fulfilling his mission to bring Fuji to Bogard. He tells Sumo to guide the Mana Maiden to his friend.
	Butler	Kett Manor	The sole servant of Count Lee. He welcomes in travelers for the night. His cold demeanor hides a darker secret.
	Count Lee	Kett Manor	The owner of Kett Mansion. He is a reclusive and dark individual whose rumors describe him as a blood-sucking monster who enjoy feasting on maidens.
	Cibba	Wendel	The revered and wisen old sage of Wendel who used to be a great warrior. He helps Sumo locate the legendary Excalibur after Julius's ascent to the Temple of Mana.

	Davias	Jadd	The ruthless dictator of the town of Jadd. He locked his mother Medusa in a cave deep withing the Desert.
	Sarah	Ish	A resident of Ish who found both Bogard and Sumo in the Crystal Desert and nursed them back to health.
	The Professor	Ish	A genius inventor who lives in Ish. He built Marcie the robot in hopes of finding relics in Dime Tower.
	King of Lorim	Lorim	The powerless ruler of the kingdom of Lorim has been the sole living soul of his fortress since the vile Marilith put his subjects into an icy grave.
