Notebook
The Notebook, also known as a tips, or encyclopedia is a semi-recurring feature in the Mana series. It generally explains game mechanics, and sometimes contains lore or tips. It is often paired with the Adventure Log which records the player's progress during the game.

Legend of Mana[edit]
The Encyclopedias are a collection of in-game books, each detailing the player on a specific topic, such as lore, characters, items, etc. Some books are readily available while others must be acquired through different means.
Sword of Mana[edit]
Popoi's Notebook automatically records locations, enemy intel, and game mechanics upon meeting certain criterias.
Children of Mana[edit]
Ask Seamoon is a service offered by Seamoon at the Silver Mermaid. By talking to her, the player can learn about battle mechanics, magic, dungeons, status, multiplayer, and gems.
Heroes of Mana[edit]
The Notebook contains information about chapter progression, characters, keywords, and units encountered during the game.
