Ramcoh is a major supporting character in Visions of Mana. She is the young "sacred beast" partner to Careena.

History[edit]

Years before the events of the story, a young Careena explored the Wind Sanctum above Longren while training to become an Oracle of Wind. Unfortunately for Careena, she was involved in an accident that sheared off her left wing. Ramcoh, as she would be named, was a witness to this horror, and evacuated Careena immediately back to Longren. The pair has developed a sisterly bond since, as each is able to anticipate what the other is thinking and feeling.

By the time Val and Hinna arrive in Longren, they spy Ramcoh in play with a pair of dragonfolk pups. She returns to the village to look in on Careena from a distance as the latter must be coerced into performing the wind-dyeing ritual needed to summon Faerie and bless an alm for the pilgrimage. At some point, Ramcoh and Careena have a falling out, as the latter has had a severe tantrum over being made to do work. Yet, after the pair from Tianeea tries and fails to perform the ceremony, Careena steps in and executes the rite perfectly. The Faerie, however, comes to tell the convoy that Sylphid went missing some time ago. Ramcoh then makes up with Careena to join her and the rest of the party for good. From this point on, Ramcoh is treated as though she is a member of the convoy; the whole world is either curious to speak with her or eager to meet her.

When the convoy reaches the Mana Tree, they have subdued three of the eight Benevodons in their quest to break the curse of Daelophos, and so they seek means to reach the remaining five, lest they awaken and destroy Qi'Diel completely. Khoda, the Tree's guardian, meets them to discuss next steps and then blesses Ramcoh with the power to grow into her full Flammie form that she may carry the convoy where they need to be. They also gain the Flammie Drum to transform her when needed.

Gameplay[edit]

As Careena's missing wing, Ramcoh will frequently assist her sister in physical attacks on enemies, and cannot be harmed in combat. While Ramcoh's attack power will increase as Careena levels up, the extra damage she provides is middling at best.

As the Qi'Diel manifestation of Flammie, Ramcoh retains many traits of past dragon transports. From Trials of Mana HD, Ramcoh can only land at marked locations on the world map; but the camera can also be rotated. New to Visions of Mana, the player has finer control over where Ramcoh drops the convoy off; they can now select any marked location on a town or field map.
