Pamaela, called Phanna in the original Super Nintendo release, is a supporting character who appears in Secret of Mana.
Background[edit]
She is Primm's best friend and a love interest for Dyluck. After Randi pulled the Mana Sword from its resting place, she would be caught up in the main storyline as a pawn in Thanatos's schemes.
History[edit]
Secret of Mana[edit]
When Randi first arrives in Pandora Village, Pamaela wonders what is happening to the various villagers being rendered mute. If Primm joins Randi's party and Pamaela is spoken to, Primm will tell that she's not coming back until she comes home with Dyluck.
As the party later return to Pandora after completing the quest at Elinee's Castle, Pamaela will be afflicted with the same ailment that is corrupting various villagers. If the player attempts to speak to her after investigating the crashed ship in Dwarf Village, she will suddenly vanish and reappear in the Pandora Ruins. Here, Thanatos will set his evil schemes into motion by kidnapping Pamaela and Dyluck after the party defeats the Evil Wall and setting Pandora free of the mute curse.
Later in the story, the party meets Pamaela at the Northtown Ruins where she violently turns on Primm and runs inside the ruins. Here, they discover Dyluck who attempts to steal Primm's energy in order to give it to Thanatos. Thanatos escapes with both Dyluck and Pamaela after the party defeats the Vampire.
During the endgame, Pamaela can be found at the Mana Palace after the Mana Fortress has risen into the air. Here, she apologizes to Primm for falling victim to Thanatos's magic control and encourages her to finish the quest with the party.
Circle of Mana[edit]
Pamaela makes a cameo appearance in the online game, along with several Secret of Mana characters. She appears in 4 sets of cards.
Echoes of Mana[edit]
While not physically appearing in the game, Pamaela was depicted in one memory gem:
