Background[edit]

History[edit]

Secret of Mana[edit]

“A general under Emperor Vandole, he works as the emperor's henchman, causing terror throughout the world.”
Square Enix Official Website

Geshtar makes his first appearance by leading the raid party on the Water Palace to break the Mana Seed's seal. Upon Randi and his party's arrival to stop him, they find they are no match for him as he undoes the seal with little trouble. After breaking the seal, Geshtar and his men leave the palace and a Jabberwocky boss for Randi's party to fight.

Geshtar makes his second appearance on the desert Sandship by taking it over and challenging Randi's party to a fight as the Mech Rider. The Mech Rider proves to be no match for Randi and his friends and is forced to retreat.

For his third appearance, Geshtar makes an appearance at the castle in Northtown challenging Randi's party to a fight as the Mech Rider again to avenge his honor. Upon defeat, Geshtar flies his machine into the castle which explodes and kills him.

In his final appearance, Geshtar challenges Randi's party to one last fight as the Mech Rider though not of his own will, but as a resurrected corpse powered by Thanatos's dark magic.

Circle of Mana[edit]

Geshtar makes a cameo appearance in the online game, along with several Secret of Mana characters. He appears in 6 sets of cards.
