Gigas is a term for a race of giant humanoids bosses in the Mana series. They are depicted as strong, masculine giants with a bald heads and a bushy beard. Each Gigas's color palette matches its elemental affiniy. For example, the Fire Gigas wears a red tunic, boots and bracers and yellow to orange skin. They have a perpertual scowl on their face and have aggressive behavior.
Despite their burly appearance, Gigas possess strong magical powers corresponding to their element. They can also unleash an elemental breath and stomp the ground with their fists to damage their foe. Finally, these giants can temporarily turn themselves into mist and make themselves invulnerable.

Secret of Mana[edit]

The Fire Gigas is the first giant encountered in the game. Guarding the Mana Seed of the Underground Palace he has been harrassing Gnome, the earth Mana Spirit prior to the arrival of the heroes. The Fire Gigas confronts the party moments after they step into the altar room and meet with Gnome for the first time.
The Frost Gigas is the corrupted form Santa assumes after discovering the stolen Mana Seed of Fire. He secludes himself in the Ice Palace and orders the party to leave at once as they step inside his private quarters. He engages them in battle but is enventually defeated, undoing the curse laid upon Father Christmas.
The Thunder Gigas is encountered deep into Pure Land and is one of the last roadblocks before reaching the Mana Tree.
Echoes of Mana[edit]

The Fire Gigas and the Frost Gigas were fought together during the Bravers Arise III event from July 20 to July 31 2022. The Thunder Gigas was battled during the first Gauntlet of Echoes held between October 9 and October 20 2022.
Santa Gigas was the newest addition to the giant family and was introduced at the end of the side story Secret of Santa. After Honeycomb traveled between echoes acting as Santa Claus and give out gifts from Santa's magical pouch, the party returns to his home in Crystal Forest. There, the jolly old man treats the adventurers with presents of their own when the Scorpion Army barges in, demanding their fair share as well. As the Scorpion Boss wrestles with the magic pouch, a Mana Seed comes out of it and transforms Santa into a Gigas. The party has no choice but to tame the beast back into its original self.

Gigas was one of the Gigantes, a race of powerful and fearsome beings in Greek mythology. They were known for the Gigantomachy, their battle with the Olympian gods.
