Blood Owl
The Blood Owl, also known as Nemesis Owl, is a recurring enemy in the Mana series. These blue owls appear in a few games and generally have the ability to inflict status effects to party members.
General Information[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
Blood Owls have round blue bodies with red stomach and wing interior. Their eyes are wide open, harboring a fixated gaze. They flutter around their designated area and occasionally cast a spell or infict a status effect by colliding into their prey.
Attributes[edit]
Blood Owls are seen rummaging in forests, ruins, and dungeons. They enjoy dark and gloomy places where they ambush unsuspecting visitors. These nocturnal birds enjoy hunting at night in certain games with a time system.
Being aerial creatures, they are usually associated with the wind element and respond poorly to earth attacks.
Variants[edit]
There are only two known variants of the Blood Owl.
- The Night Sniper is a green and purple variant that lives in the highest mountain peaks.
- The Dark Blood Owl is a souped-up version of the regular monster. It only appears when the player has taken down 1,000 Blood Owls.

The Blood Owl is first encountered in Kett Manor. It movements are somewhat unpredictable, as it can flutter slowly or quickly on a whim. Coming in contact with the creature can inflict the Dark status crisis to the hero. Thankfully, the bird has abysmal defense power and can be quickled dealt with an Axe. Its only other noteworthy trait is the chance of it dropping a Crystal upon death. The creature can further be seen on the Airship and in Glaive Castle.
In Adventures of Mana, the Blood Owl either moves slower of faster at random.
