Eye Spy

The Eye Spy is a recurring enemy in the Mana series. It is represented as a large single eye monster with a stalk planted on the ground. They were first implemented in Final Fantasy Adventure.
General Information[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
Eye Spies are either beige, yellow, or green skinned monsters with a single large eye supported by a short stem. Their attacks include several magical spells, including turning party members into Moogles or shrinking them. Some instalments grant them the ability to heal their comrades while others grant them monster generative skills.
Attributes[edit]
Eye Spies are extremely adaptable and can be found in nearly any kind of environments, from natural ones, like forests, fields, and mountains, to man-made ones, like castles, towers, airships, etc.
The occular monster seems to favor the light element and will often be resistant to it. His resistances will vary depending of the game, but he will often be weak against Shade magic.
Variants[edit]
Eye Spies only have a few known variants appearing in some games.
- Wizard Eyes are stronger Eye Spy species who basically functions the same way as their weaker variant.
- The Dark Eye Spy is a powerful recolor of the regular Eye Spy from Sword of Mana. They only appear once the player has sain 1,000 Eye Spies.
