The Professor, also known as Dr. Bowow, is a character in Final Fantasy Adventure and its direct remake Adventures of Mana. He is known as Professor Bomb in Sword of Mana.
Background[edit]
This odd man with a large schnozz and a thick lion's mane for a beard lives in a modest house in Ish, from which he has conducted a variety of scientific studies and inventive experiments. He has a keen interest in both mechanical engineering and archaeology.

Final Fantasy Adventure & Adventures of Mana[edit]
Some years before the events of the story, the Professor stumbled upon the now-sunken Dime Tower and built a robot named Marcy to analyze it and contain any threats found therein. When the tower submerged, Marcie went dormant.
In the present day, the Professor happened upon a chocobo that had just carried its battered master to Ish despite broken legs of its own. He took to the bird almost immediately, fitting it with a pair of mechanized legs while its master recovered. He dubbed his creation Chocobot. Sumo then retrieves it and the pair quickly departs to resume their search for the Mana Sword, now with Chocobot able to run over land and glide over water.
The Professor is later asked for clues as to the whereabouts of the Sword, the ultimate magic of Flare, and the Dime Tower itself. He is more than happy to answer all of these questions.
He is one among the many visited as Sumo makes his final trip around the world as the last true Gemma Knight.
