Premise[edit]
A Flowerling in Polpota Harbor heard that people don't feel safe at the Seaside Hotel anymore because of a ghost. Flameshe, a local mermaid, overhears the conversation and claims there is not ghost as this is just someone playing a prank. Further along the road, the protagonist meets Thoma in Polpota Bay, an imperial soldier, who's investigating the imperial ship that sank ten days ago. The main character continue his/her trip to the Seaside Hotel where he/she is greeted by the managers. The two of then suddenly see a skeletal apparition near the staircase, making them seek help from the protagonist to which he/sha agrees. The hero joins Inspector Boyd on the Quayside, but learns that he's in vacation and doesn't believe there's a ghost on sight. The main character returns to see Thoma to inquire about the ghost and the sunken ship. The imperial soldier tells that the ship was heading to this port on the emperor's secret orders. The weather was fair this day, but the ship still sank. At the Hotel's porch, the protagonist meets an entitled stranger named Basketfish. Mr. Fish is obsessed with Revanshe, a local dancer and is seed inquiring at the reception about her schedule. He rents the whole hall for 50,000 lucre and hurries to her show. The managers tries desperately to squeeze out money from that nouveau riche fish since no other costumer wants to stay at their hotel due to the ghost sightings. After interrogating Boyd enough about the recent incidents, the mouse inspector admits he came here on assignment, as the Jewel Hunter left a note nearby stating that she would steal the Blue Eye. The Inspector advises the main character to report to him immediately if he sees someone with blue eyes. At the local restaurant, Thoma is making his own investigation interrogating the patrons about the shipwreck. A penguin says that a guest called Basketfish claims he can see everything under the waves. The imperial soldier thanks the costumer and leaves for the aformentioned fish. Thoma is next seen near the hotel entrnace where he is interrogated by Inspector Boyd. The two men continue their discussion in the performing hall near Basketfish and Revanshe. The two of the try to ask the wealthy fish questions but the latter is too fascinated by the dancer to answer. Boyd quips that he's also inherited a famous jewel called the Blue Eye, whose particularity is to show everything that happens in the ocean. Boyd and Thoma try to persuade the fish to show it to them, but Baskefish refuses. Revanshe, who heard it all, wants to see it too, which makes the rich man dig out his pocket. The mysterious stone shines a bright light which shows an imperial captain named Thona talking to his crew about receiving orders from the emperor to acquire the ultimate firearm. They intend to search Polpota Harbor for its location. A solcier erupts on the ship's deck, claiming a sea hag is approaching. The crew tries to cover their ears but the men eventually succumb to her melodious voice, crashing their ship. Back to the present, the mysterious hotel ghost appears in front of Basketfish, demanding that the wealthy man hands him the Blue Eye. Mr. Fish gives it to him pleading to not curse him and the specter runs down the exit. Boyd erupts into the room, asking for his inheritance, but Basketfish tells him that its now gone thanks to the ghost. The Inspector burst into rage, concluding that the jewel hunter dressed as a ghost this time. Later, one of the managers give out the Pirate's Hook Artifact to the protagonist as thanks for solving the ghost mystery.
Solution[edit]
Enter Polpota Harbor. Go Left and go into the mall. Talk to the Flowerling and Mermaid. Go Left to the beach. Talk to Thoma. Go to the town’s entrance, go up to the hotel, and talk to the manager. Agree to help.
Go to the Lower Right stairway and talk to the Inspector. Follow the path to the restaurant. Talk to the people there. Go back to the beach and talk to the Soldier. At the hotel entrance you will see a Basket Fish. Go and talk to the Inspector. Ask him all of the questions and just keep talking to him until he walks away. Go to the restaurant to see Thoma. Go back to the hotel entrance to see Thoma and Boyd speak. Go into the hotel and into room on the left. Talk to Thoma.
