Fluorite is a quest in Legend of Mana.

Premise[edit]

Upon returning to the jewelry shop in Geo, the protagonist hears a voice pleading for help. A young lady emerges from a giant ring box, introducing herself as Florina, the Jumi of Fluorite. She explains that Alex, the store owner, hides her here, safre from the jewel hunter, but this doesn't stop her from having bad dreams. Belle, the dream spirit, suddenly appears behind them, telling the Jumi that she came to understand the cause of her bad dreams since even her nightmares were so bads that her tapir was scared to come. Florina answers that she doesn't know the cause since she was supposed to be safe in here. Belle explains that dreams are complex formations of the memories of day and are based on the world of reality. Seeing as the Jumi of Fluorite doesn't follow, the dream witch simplies by telling her that the hero was called to enter her dreams and kill the bad bugs inside them. She then asks the protagonist if he/she is ready, then teleports him/her into a dream versoin of the desert. Here the hero meets with Niccolo, who introduces himself as his/her guide in Florina's dream for the special low price of 200 Lucre. The peddler of smiles proceeds to warp the character to another section of the desert filled with Basketfishes. From there on the protagonist is left to his/her own devices to proceed further. A while later, the hero stumbles on Lady Blackpearl asking about Elazul;s purpose. The Jumi of Lapis Lazuli answers that he has no one to protect, but with Florina's tears his destiny shall be reinstated. The Black lady leaves in disgust of having conversed with a Jumi Knight who has left her Guardian to die. A apparition of Pearl emerges from behind Lady Blackpearl, stating she is sorry that she cannot cry for you anymore. Elazul flinches, then tells the black lady that if its anger that motivates her, then the light of the Clarius will only continue to cause pain and suffering. So long as manking fights over the Jumi, the flames of anger will burn bright in their hearts, and the power to heal will be forgotten. As Lady Blackpearl finally leaves the premises, Elazul reveals to the main character that he is filled with guilt for having failed to protect his guardian. Further down the road. Elazul pleads for Lady Blackpearl to accept him as her knight, but she refuses, stating that she is a knight with a core of darkness, and that her destiny is Fluorite. The Lapis Jumi reminds the dark lady that Florina already has a knight called Alexandra, and that the lonely pebble in the desert is her. Lady Blackpearl replies that her black core died once when she left Florina with Alexandra. The Jumi Knight of Lapis interprets her meaning that she may turn back into Pearl once her core shatters, to which the lady dares him to give a try. The Knight sheaths his sword back, telling his adversary that fighting his guardian would be ill-advised. The two ghosts fade away as the main character pursuits his/her course of action. He/she finally sees Sandra conversing with Lady Blackpearl about their relationship. The Lady tells the jewel hunter that she is here to take her to the Underworld, as she wouldn't be able to hurt another soul once confined in the darkness. Sandra replies that Florina can recover with only a thousand Jumi lives. Lady Blackpearl accuses the jewel hunter of hurting more Jumi in order to replenish her own strength. Blackpearl suddenly collapses from the desert's brightness, but the spirit of Pearl tries to cheer her friend to hang on as the protagonist will soon be here. Meanwhile, a Jewel Beast materializes in front of the hero, preventing him/her from reaching Lady Blackpearl. After its defeat, Elazul reunites whith Pearl, ending the dream sequence. The protagonist is transported back to the jewelry shop, where Belle tells him/her that Florina went back to sleep.
