“Today's adventure was in the Jungle where lots of Faeries live. The long-haired man was there again. Is it just me, or is there trouble brewing? I think I'm psychic.”

The Murmuring Forest is a quest in Legend of Mana.

Premise[edit]

The hero encounters Selkie with during his/her trip in the Jungle, who offers to get rid of a Faerie spell casted on the main character in exchange of finding out why the Faeries around the area have been acting weird lately. He/she accepts heads for the fair folk's den. After wandering in the jungle for a while, the hero discover a group of Faeries, harrassing a helpless Nun on the ground. One of them saya that they need someone with stronger powers to become their queen, as this individual won't do. She then orders her followers to bring her the priestess of Gato Temple, which puzzle some of them, since the priestess is said to be a million year old yet she doesn't look the part. THe group then questions Lord Irwin's choice of electing a human to be their queen, since their lifespan is far shorter than theirs. A young knight named Escad enters the scene and successfully defeat the Faeries with his sword, rescuing the injured nun. Noticing the protagonist, the knight orders him/her to bring her to Rosiotti. The nun suddenly raises up by her own two feet, claiming that those of her kind do not rely on Wisdoms for help, and slowly exits the premises. A perplexed Escad wonders why the Faeries are in league with Irwin before advising the hero to leave the jungle before starting a war between humans and Faeries. As he/she head back to Selkie, a Punkmaster asks the protagonist his business in the area and the two start fighting. After ending up victorious, the hero explains the Faeries's motives to Selkie, who then asks Rosiotti for guidance, but the guardian is found to be asleep.

Solution[edit]

Enter the Jungle. Use the Psychic Service to go to the Courtyard of Rain. Open the chest, defeat the enemies, and talk to Selkie to cast a spell on you.

Go back to the entrance and use the Psychic Service to go to the Forest Ruins. Go to the Lower Left to have the faeries teleport you to the Entrance.

Use the Psychic Service to go to the Forest Ruins again and this time go Up. Talk to Selkie and have the spell removed. Offer to help Selkie.

Go Down to the save room and go to the Lower Left. Watch Escad beat up the Faeries. Talk to him and go keep going Left.

Tell the Punkmaster that you want to fight, then defeat him.
