“Another friend in my master's life. She was a pile of dirt? Did I get that right? I didn't know what to say to that, so I couldn't look straight into my master's eyes. Sorry.”

The Lucky Clover is a quest in Legend of Mana.

Premise[edit]

Elazul is at Domina's bar searching for a friend. The protagonist decides to team up with him, shen Pearl suddenly storms in, saying that she had a feeling she might get left behind. The Jumi knight warns her that's too dangerous to go with them, and the duo settles on her taking shelter at the hero's house. While searching in Geo, a green girl appears in a flash of light in the central plaza, followed by Mr. Nunuzac, who scolds her for venturing unattended. As the two vaporize into thin air, Elazul wonders if she is the one he's looking for, but dismisses the thought. They find the same lady inside one of the Academy of Magic classroom, who the Lapis Knight immediately identifies her as a Jumi. The Jumi girl advises they meet at the library after class, maybe on Gnome or Undine Day. The adventurers decides to stay at the inn for the time being, and return to the library. He they find the girl and Nunuzac discussing together. The professor explains to the visitors that Jumi cores where once said to be highly prized, as they held many healing virtues and were the source of immense magic. As of now, they are but meer rocks in value, hence him nicknaming her apprentice Mudstone. The Jumi Knight defends his kin by driving the professor away, asking the girl why she did not stand her ground. Her response is that her teacher is right and that if everyone thinks she's a mudstone, nobody will want her core. She then asks him back if he's seen anyone who looked like her during his travels. She reveals that her sisters went missing, causing her great distress. She then asks to be alone for a while, to which both adventurers comply. Teh day after, The Jumi lady is seen attending her classes, asking the protagonist to fulfill a favor for her on a Gnome Day at the library. The hero agrees to it and meet her a few days after to the aformentioned place. The girl then reveals that she ran away from the Jumi city and was taken in by the Academy. Florina, the only healer in the Bejeweled city, was kidnapped. This incident prompted the Jumi population to scatter around Fa'Diel, which made the green girl separated from her sisters. Mr. Nunzac is sheltering and instructing her about the magic arts until the time comes for a knight to take her away. As Elazul is only a Jumi Guardian, the professor has advised the protagonist to be her knight. After accepting the deed, the Jumi knight says he's going to the jewelry store.

While looking for clues, the newly formed duo heads to the jewelry shop where they meet Alex, the store owner. Esmeralda asks him if he's go any gems that look like her core, saying that those would be the only remains of her sister, as the Deathbringer's army took them. Since there should be some magic left inside those cores, she could bring her sisters back with some tears of healing. The store owner claims that they don't deal in Jumi cores here, which prompt the party to look elsewhere. They successfully find one core in Mephianse's office. Another is found in the basement of Madam Krissie's Palace of Arts, which is revealed to be the Jumi of Diamond Diana. The leader of the Jumis has given up on being a Jumi since they are doomed, and suggests Esmeralda to follow her train of thought. She explains that Florina, the last Jumi with the power to heal, is dead, making the Jumi race fated for exinction. Seeing the fiery determination in Esmeralda, she orders her to take her sister's core and leave before the jewel hunter gets here, as she told Sandra to get here and take her core. She gives the second core to the green Jumi, and the duo heads out in search of the last core. Esmeralda then inquires about her sister's gem to Teapo in Geo's cafe, but the anthropomorphic teapot denies having anything resembling it. After further investigation, Esmeralda finds the last core hidden in a plant near the cafe's entrance, which angers Teapo. The cafe owner quickly simmers down in tears after hearing the green Jumi's tragic story and agree to give it back to her. Meanwhile, Sandra is eavesdropping the party atop the roof of Geo's Academy of Magic, commenting that the Lucky Clover is whole again. She drops a note in front of the cafe, telling Esmeralda that the prized jewels will be hers. Upon reading the message, Esmeralda rushes back to the Academy for safety. Elazul joins back the protagonist after hearing about the note, and the two meet with Inspector Boyd in front of the Academy, angry at the fact that he cannot find the green Jumi. They briefly find Esmeralda speaking with Diana in the Palace of Arts's basement, but the former disappears in a flash of light. The Jumi of Diamond asks if the duo is here to save Esmeralda, then teleports the adventurers in a separate room where they fight a Jewel Beast. After taking care of the monster, the party rushes through another room, where they stumble on Esmeralda and Sandra. The green Jumi feels guilt on not being able to shed tears to bring back her sisters. As she utters those words, the jewel hunter snatches her core, making Esmeralda disintegrate before the Elazul and the protagonist, and exit the premises before anyone can stop her. The frustrated Jumi knight then stands before Diana, who tells him that she believes that Sandra wants to exact revenge on the entire Jumi people. She promises to tell everything if Elazul brings Pearl to her. She gives Ishe Platinum as proof of her word.

Solution[edit]

Enter Domina. Go to the bar and talk to Elazul. Help him look for his friend. Leave and tell Pearl that the bar is also dangerous(she’ll go to your Home).

Enter Geo and go to the Academy of Magic to see Esmeralda. Follow these instructions:

  • Make sure it ISN’T Gnome Day or Undine Day; talk to her in the Academy of Magic.
  • Make sure it IS Gnome Day or Undine day; talk to her in the Library.
  • Change the Day and find her in the classroom.
  • Change the Day and see her in the Library again.
  • Offer to help her find the cores.

Go and talk to Alex at the Jewelry Shop. Now you need to find 3 cores, follow these instructions to find them all:

  • In Mephianse’s office in the Academy of Magic (Dryad Day).
  • Kristie’s place in the basement (Diana statue).
  • Teapo in the Cafe (behind the counter, ask about the core). Exit out to the City Map and return to have Teapo give it to you.

Go to the Academy of Magic to find Inspector Boyd upset at the entrance. Return to the Jewelry Shop to have Elazul join you. Go back to Kristie’s place and talk to Diana(the statue in the basement). Then head downstairs to the battle arena.

Fight the Jewel Beast to end the Event.
