The Goddess Scales are an item exclusive to 3D games of the Mana series. When used, the Scales reset all supplemental character growth to its base values, returning all development points to the player and, where available, returning a character to their base class in order to reinvest the points toward a different class progression path.

Appearing in limited quantities during Chapter V and later, the Goddess Scales enable the player to reset the target's class to Class 1, thus allowing the target to retrace their class progression. One scale can be found in the main character's final dungeon, mainly Dragonsmaw for Duran and Angela, Mirage Palace for Kevin and Charlotte, and Dark Castle for Hawkeye and Riesz. Five more are hidden in treasure chests in Anise's Stockade. All in all, there are a total of six Goddess Scales which can be obtained in one playthrough.
