Gone But Not Forgotten is a side quest in Visions of Mana. it is available after defeating Gareth in Zawhak Desert during chapter 5.

"You visit Gudju, where you find Watts hunting for belongings that were left behind by the villagers after the disaster four years ago. He’s afraid that they’ll be lost and forgotten about as the town gets rebuilt and has taken it upon himself to gather what he can and keep the articles safe. Search Gudju and pick up any interesting items you come across."

"In your search of the ruins of Gudju you found several items, one of which was a letter written by the daughter of Watts’ friend. She was presumed to have died during the disaster, but the letter suggests she had already left the village by that time. Watts all but jumped for joy at the possibility of her being alive. Perhaps she can still be found…"
