Desert Defenses is a side quest in Visions of Mana. It is available after first visiting the Mylos Woods during chapter 4.

"Sand Stingers have been appearing in increasing numbers around the Zawhak Desert lately and are beginning to pose a threat to people in the area. Help the warden out by defeating some Sand Stingers so the desert can stay relatively safe."
