The Subsea Volcano is a location and dungeon in Sword of Mana. It's part of the mountain region of Rocky Wilds at the world's further northwest. It's connects to Subland River from the south at its entrance.

Story

After the events in Granz's Castle, the Hero and Heroine reunites with Cibba and others in Ishe, there they learn, according to Cibba, that the Mana Sword sleeps inside the volcano.

Then, splitting into two groups, the Hero with Lester, and the Heroine follow by Willy, they set out on the journey in search of the legendary sword.

After much searching, the protagonist and ally finally reach the volcano, so they must go through the lava floor heat to go deeper into the mountain.

Succeeding going through the dangerous lava paths, knocking down a fragile wall, the protagonist finds another Warbot, this time belonging to "Ger...", similarly the previous one it's all rusted and can't be readed, the protagonist wonders what this is doing here, just as before the robot activates, and the earth quakes.

Deeper in the volcano, they find a sword embedded in the earth, but a circle of fire prevents them from getting close, and the battle begins.

After the battle, the main character removes the sword from the ground, but seeing it all rusty and worn, the traveller companion have doubt about it, but the protagonist is sure that, by the tales, this is the Mana Sword, and decides to take it to Cibba in Ishe. The scene then cuts to there.

• Chocolump (In the first scenery with lava, head north towards the center of the scenery over more fragile ground)
• Lizard Scale (From the previous one, go northwest to the next scene, go upstairs go north and then east to a high platform)
• Long Seed (Return to the previous scenery, go northwest and defeat the Stone Seal, then go all the way east and south onto a high platform)
• GummiFrog (Near the previous one)
• Fire Coin (Back to the first lava scenery, take the northeast exit, on the next scene go all way to west to scenery on the side on a isolated part)
• Angel Grail (Return to the previous scene, and head to the east corner after a big lava pit)
• Gator Skin (In a scenery full of Metaballs, from the entrance go through the lava pit in the left corner to a ladder with a cave, use the Tiny Tapper to enter by going north, east, north, west and south to the other side)
• Fossil (Close to the previous one)
• Maia Lead (In the Metaballs scene follow to the northeast exit and go next scene close to the wall, on the next scenary, head all way to north after a big lava pit, hit the wall northeast corner with a blue colour mark, go inside a cave and follow west, at the end hit the wall again and go inside)
• Spiny Seed (From previous one, return to the big lava pit and head west next scenery, follow the way to the left side of the stairs)
• Jadd Hemp (In the same place, go up the stairs, on the spiral path covered with lava, go to the center)
• GummiFrog (From the previous one, head all the way to the south to an exit in the south east corner, in the next scenario, head to the end of the platform)
