Jadd is a location and a settlement in Sword of Mana. It's located at the south center part of the world, and it's connected to the north by the Prickly Desert, to the west is Devius Manor and to the south is Jadd Desert.

Story

After the events of the Airship, the Hero, who was being treated by Amanda in Menos, is reunited with the Heroine and Bogard who have been looking for him.

Soon after being questioned about a pendant entrusted to him, he sees that the pendant has disappeared, and Amanda has left.

Denying Bogard's suspicions of Amanda having stolen it, the Hero investigates by talking to the villagers and learns that she has gone to Jadd. Reporting this to the others, Bogard and the Heroine go ahead to Jadd, and shortly after leaving a note, the Hero also heads there.

After crossing the desert, the protagonist arrives at Jadd, and talking to some people, they learns that Amanda went to Devius Manor and looked very serious. Others also gossip about Amanda's brother Lester, being the best minstrel among the others who appeared in town and suddenly disappeared, one will also argument that Lester has been sucked in by Devius, the respected count who brought culture to town.

In the Hero's story, when he entering near the Devius Manor, in a cutscene, the Hero will see the birds, and will thinking it's one of those released earlier in Wendel, soon after, he enters the building. After the events at the manor, the Hero along with Amanda heads to the Jadd desert after Medusa.

As for the Heroine's story, when they reach the manor entrance, brief cutscene take place, when the Heroine suspects it is very quiet and Bogard senses a familiar magical power, suspecting it to be from someone who is already dead, but nothing tells her, so the two enter.

After the Heroine and Bogard talking with Genoa, and learning that Medusa had transform everyone in the manor into birds, just when they head back to the town, the Heroine finds a bird, who she recognizes to be Lester, the minstrel that she mets with the Hero in Wendel. She senses that she must follow him, and soon they enter Jadd Desert.
