Heading back along the path, the Hero goes to the dwarves in the Dwarf Cave and speaks with Capo.
When asking for a way to go to Gaia's Cave, Capo will mention that he will need mythril, which is found in the Abandoned Mine, other dwarves will intervene saying it's too dangerous to go there, even saying that Watts went there and did not return, also asking to look for him. Therefore, the Hero leaves to the mine.
In the cave, one dwarf reveals that Watts was asked by a dapper swordman to make an ultimate sword for him, another will say that Watts wanted to make his own Mana Sword, so he went to looking for mythril.

Watts will give the Hero his part of the mythril, later on, he will sympathize with the protagonist and decided to help him in his adventure, including breaking the previous contract he made, so he will move out to the blacksmith's room in the cactus house where he will work for the Hero, leaving again, but without the Dudbears. With the requested item, the Hero now returns to Gaia's Cave.
