Topple Outskirts is a location and field area in Sword of Mana. It is part of the greater Topple region at the north of the world, and is connected to Topple village to the southeast and to the Path to Cave to the northeast. It is also home to the Cascade Cottage to the west. Its Adventures of Mana counterpart is the Steppe.
Story[edit]
As the Hero[edit]
In Topple, the Heroine soon leaves the Hero, after speaking with some Mana Clan members, he must go to Wendel to speak with Cibba about the Mana Sword, then he continues his journey through the Topple Outskirts heading north to the Path of Cave. He will also need to traverse this path to get to Cascade Cottage.
As the Heroine[edit]
Leaving the cottage to go to Topple to look for Mana followers, Bogard will ask if the Heroine knows how to use spirits, so he will teach her how to invoke them to use her magic (R Button), for attack or support, in addition to teaching her a sit to recover MP (A and L Button), finally, he will talk about the mana statues to give her protection.
Then, he will thus tell that he will go to Granz's castle for information, while she goes to Topple, and asks to wait for him at the cottage, and leaves. In this way, she continues her mission to Topple.
Later in the game, after passing Topple, suspecting the Hero is a soldier from Granz and worried about Bogard, she recrosses this path back to Cascade Cottage.
Both stories continuation[edit]
After the encounter between the Hero and the Heroine in Cascade Cottage, the ally warns that because they find several cliffs on the way they can jump them, and thus, teaches the protagonist the ability to jump (Button L). And so, they can continue their journey to Vinquette Hall.
