Subland River is a location and field area in Sword of Mana. It's part of the mountain region of Rocky Wilds at the world's further northwest. It's connects to the Rocky Wilds on the south exit and Subsea Volcano on the north exit.
Story[edit]
After the events in Lorimar, the heroes make their way to the Mana Sword inside Subsea Volcano, the Hero joins with Lester while the Heroine joins with Willy. Passing through the treacherous path of the Rocky Wilds, they now venture into the caverns of Subland River.
After passing all the banks of the underground rivers, they found someone next to the Mana Goddness statue, checking it closely, the protagonist sees that it's a robot, a Warbot created by the Vandole Empire, owned by someone whose name ending with "...mer " but is all rusted and can't be readed.
The protagonist is left wondering what something of the Vandole Empire is doing there, but suddenly, the robo seems to turn on and the cave quakes, and soon, a battle take place.
After the battle, the protagonists return to the fallen robot scene, checking it they find nothing, but looking through the cave they discover that a new passage has opened, leading them directly to the Subsea Volcano.

- Crooked Seed (In the third scenario, use the Tiny Tapper to enter a small cave on the wall to the north and follow north, it's right at the entrance)
- Altena Alloy (Still in the Tiny Tapper's cave, head east and north)
- Snake Scale (In Tiny Tapper's cave, from the entrance use the item again to enter another cave, go north, then west, north, and follow to west until you reach the other side)

- Angel Grail (Back to the third scenario, go west and use the flail to transport yourself through the islets, jump the water stream and go to the next scenery, go west and jump another water stream and go up on the platform)
- Chocolump (From the previous one, go back jumping the water stream and use the flail to transport yourself to the north, from there go east)
- Gator Skin (Follow to the northeast exit at the third scenery top, in the next scene, from the entrance of this one go north over the water stream and west passing behind a waterfall to the next scene, and head west)
- Fish Scale (Going down from previous one)
- Water Coin (Close the previous one)
- Lorimar Iron (Close the previous one)
- Spiny Seed (In the fifth scenery, from the entrance use the flail to cross the watercourse, go north and before the stairs go southwest to the end of the path)
- Ash Wood (From the previous one, head northeast and up the stairs, half hidden by a waterfall in the northwest corner)
- Undine Icon (Still at the top of the stairs, go all the way to the west passing behind a waterfall)
- Chocolump (Still in the fifth scenery, head to the northeast corner and before passing the scenery, head northwest passing by a waterfall)

Brownie Ring[edit]
In the third scenario, head north and enter the first crack in the wall using the Tiny Tapper. Inside use the Tiny Tapper again to enter another crack, from there go north and west further into the wall, then a little north and west, north and west again. Finally, head all the way north and when you can't walk anymore, jump. The protagonist will fall into a cave with a fainted character in front of him, this is Mr. Brown, interacting with him, he will thank you and give you the option of three items: choose the Brown Ring and it will be yours.
